Incarlopsa, a leading company in the production and processing of pork products in Castilla-La Mancha, has closed the 2021 financial year with a turnover of 927,6 million euros, which represents an increase of 5,1% over the previous year and confirms a sustained growth in sales over the last five years. Since 2017, turnover has increased by 37,6%.

The sales growth recorded in 2021 has been articulated around two axes: the company’s diversification strategy and a first commitment to internationalization. Thus, in 2021 Incarlopsa has accelerated its export pace, placing sales in foreign markets at 84,5 million euros, which represents an increase of 17,5% over the precious year. In Spain, sales have also registered a positive trend: they have increased by 4% to 843,1 million euros.

The 2021 financial year continued to be marked by uncertainty. In addition to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the exponential growth in energy prices and logistics and distribution costs led to an increase in operating expenses related to both factors.

Maintaining the commitment to innovation, efficiency and local and proximity suppliers to boost the rural economy

In this complex environment, Incarlopsa has continued to promote its commitment to innovation and to improve the efficiency of its production plants, as well as to minimize the environmental impact of its activity within the framework of the company’s long-term sustainable development model. In 2021, Incarlopsa has allocated 27,3 million euros to productive investments.

In addition, it has strengthened its commitement to local and proximity suppliers, promoting with them the best practices in environmental and animal welfare matters and contributing to boost economic activity in the rural enviroment where the 1.512 farms, 100% national, with which Incarlopsa has worked in 2021, are located.

“The results obtained in 2021 reflect our commitment to the rural environment, to our customers and to Spanish households, for whom we have produced nearly 355.000 tons of food and meat products, to continue to ensure access to healthy, balanced and quality food. This would not have been possible without the efforts of more than 4.130 people, including direct and indirect employment, who make up the Incarlopsa family”, explains clemente Loriente, CEO of Incarlopsa.
