In addition to the slaughterhouse, the unloading and transportation process has also been certified.
Incarlopsa has obtained AENOR-Conform animal welfare certification within the scope of the European Welfare Quality Project, where in addition to the slaughterhouse, the unloading and transportation process has also been certified in accordance with the 4 principles of Welfare Quality: good feeding, good health, good housing and appropriate behaviour.
Moreover, the company´s inspection certificates issued by Instituto Comunitario de Certificación, S.L. remain in force, acknowledgement that the company complies with the requirements defined in the “Protocol for the assessment of animal welfare in slaughterhouses drawn up by the IRTA and based on the criteria established by WELFARE QUALITY” and with the animal welfare requirements with regard to the transportation of live animals also set forth in the respective Specifications.
